I joined a new message board at BabbleMB.net!

I didn’t think I would join another board because usually it’s hard for me to do more than one at a time. But this is actually a great board with a lot of great people attached to it. They even have giveaways for active members. Their first one is a $25 Gift Certificate to Lush! I’ve never tried Lush before but I’ve only heard great things about it.
Even without the giveaways it’s still a good board though. Click the screenshot to check it out!
And it was pretty amazing. Seriously, I feel like I have good ideas for characters and plot lines but with people like Suzanne Collins in the world it’s a bit discouraging to follow through on them.

…and I still feel like a kid.
…and I still like watching Disney movies and animated films.
…and I don’t look like I’m older than what I am because I don’t wear heavy makeup or clothes that are too old for me.
…and I still rock it in a pair of jeans and a shirt with flip flops.
…and I still don’t know who I am or what I am. I can’t put myself in a box with a label, and I don’t think I want to. Ever.
…and I am not married even though I’ve been with my boyfriend for almost 9 years, and we don’t have kids. Though someday we want one. Or two.
…and I still don’t haveĀ a solid career. I am just now making the first step towards making real money.
…and I have barely seen anywhere past where I’ve grown up all my life.
…and I still believe in the power of love, and I will probably always be a hopeless romantic.
…and I still don’t understand politics or some religions.
…and I still like being babied by my mother and my grandparents.
…and I still like hanging out with my best friend from high school as if we are still in high school.
…and I still like sitting on my ass at my computer for hours.
…and I still like going outside to sit on my ass in the sun for a couple of hours.
…and I don’t think I’ll ever really grow up.

Remind of when I was a young girl, where all I had to care about was the new issue of Seventeen. If I was going to see my friends that day. Spending time outside in the sun for hours and hours. No sense of time at all. Hanging out with my parents while they barbequed. Playing ball with my little brother. The way fresh grass felt between my toes. The wind on my face. Carefree and open to anything.
I miss those days.
I am feeling so off lately. Between working so much at this new job and then coming home to a messy home, and all the headaches I’ve been getting lately, I’m just ready to crawl back into bed.
I’m hoping that when I get my paycheck tomorrow I’ll feel better. Sometimes you just need a perk like that to get you out of a funk.
Like right now, I should be getting ready to go to this meeting for my new job title. They have them once a month and it’s only a couple of hours but I’m like

I really would like to sit down and make a list today of things I want to accomplish. I find that my life feels better with lists. When my head feels like it’s about to explode and my brain feels like mush lists are what helps me get through.
Or perhaps I just need more sleep.
My friend, Ashley from LoveMom.info, is offering two free jars of natural body scrubs to two winners from her friend.

I love anything beauty product that’s natural. I also love winning stuff.
Usually, when I want to really scrub my body down, I just use olive oil and sugar. I’m thinking of switching over to grapeseed oil though. I hear it’s lighter and absorbs better into your skin.
Some scrubs I use are still store bought but I haven’t bought any in a long time so I couldn’t tell you which ones I really like. When I’m lazy or in a hurry I just use my bar soap (still using Dove :\ ) and a loofah.

Those are the body scrub choices! If I win, I get to choose one! I really like the sound of raw sugar. I never thought of using it before. I wonder if it’s possible to mix all those solids together – if you would get all those effects. I will have to ask her what she suggests for my type of skin.

I am a big fan of e.l.f. cosmetics. I don’t find a lot of people really like them, but for the price and the fact that they are a cruelty-free makeup company I think their products are good.
In fact, they are probably more than just good. The best products I have gotten from them is their liquid concealer and their eyeshadows. I get a lot of coverage for my undereye circles with the concealer, and the colors from the eyeshadows quite a long time. Longer and deeper with primer.
As you know I recently bought the 88 palette from BH Cosmetics, and while it’s been good so far I would have used the money to buy this promotion from e.l.f. instead.
With a purchase of $25, you can order 10 free mineral eyeshadows of your choice. They have 26 colors, both sparkly and matte. I haven’t tried their mineral makeup yet but I would definitely try this. Unfortunately, I am unable to do so before the Feb. 13th, which is the last day to use the promo code.

They are also offering Free Shipping on orders over $25 – use the code SHIP25
If you get anything, please share!

I will probably start blogging about Glee episodes, since I like to comment as I watch. Sometimes I hate this show. Sometimes I love it. It all depends on how I feel about the episode.
I also apologize ahead of time for any immaturity or fangirling below. Sometimes fandom gets the best of me.
Warning: Spoilers Ahead!

Summary: (from IMDb.com) When a criminal mastermind uses a trio of orphan girls as pawns for a grand scheme, he finds himself profoundly changed by the growing love between them.
Voices by: Steve Carell, Jason Segel, Russell Brand, Julie Andrews, Will Arnett, Kristen Wiig, Miranda Cosgrove
Comments: This movie is super cute! If you liked The Incredibles, you’ll love this one. Not only is the character of Gru super funny because of his French accent a la Steve Carell but it’s not a character you can hate – despite the fact that he’s supposed to be an evil villain. The little girls are adorable and you just want to take one of those little minions home to keep! The storyline is fresh and fun, and it’s a great family film if you have kids. If not, well, I was still really entertained! lol

I am not a makeup expert. Or a guru! Though I’ve watched my fair share of tutorial videos on YouTube (check out these ladies if you haven’t yet: xsparkage & Michelle Phan) I don’t really put on that much makeup. At least I haven’t until recently.
When I was younger, I was more of a tomboy and then when I hit my teens I didn’t really play around with makeup. I thought it took too long so I would only do the basics, if that. But now that I’m older, I like playing around with makeup. I like all the different eyeshadow colors, and giving myself a sense of beauty – like a painter with her canvas.
I ordered the 88 Matte Palette from BH Cosmetics. I was told by friends that the color was worth it because you get a lot of the price, making this an affordable product. It arrived at my door step just a few days later after ordering.
Upon opening, I got excited by all the different color choices!

Finger swatches:

Although I’m not sure what or how to get started, I know that once I get that down I will love it.
